Smart Sensors Incorporated (SSi) enhances its extensive collection of temperature sensor configurations, by obtaining Explosion Proof certification from FM, cFM, and Flameproof designation from ATEX, and IEC Exd for their temperature sensor assemblies.

The explosion proof and flameproof certifications apply to assemblies that use designated Explosion Proof Aluminum (EPA) or Explosion Proof Stainless Steel (EPS) head types and enhanced flame path designed fittings that are now available with the Smart Sensors series HUNS, 1440, 1443, and 1445 products. A full range of thermowell options with the option of agency certified temperature transmitters can be selected for a complete explosion proof/flame path temperature assembly.

Smart Sensors (SSi) offers a complete line of thermocouples, Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) sensors, thermowells, and specialty temperature sensors. SSi utilises its broad industry experience, technical expertise, and state-of-the-art facilities to meet the temperature measurement requirements of its customers.
