New Multi-Sensor and New LGI applications at GCC 2012

Oct 10 2012

At the upcoming Gulf Coast Conference scheduled on October 16 & 17, 2012 Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions (Netherlands) will introduce the new DVLS³ Multi-sensor for Gas Chromatography Systems to the North American region. Laboratories using hydrogen as a carrier gas need a reliable safe way to detect hydrogen leaks during GC analysis.

The DVLS³ Multi-Sensor offers a safe technique to detect a hydrogen leak in the oven or valve box of a GC. By constantly monitoring the hydrogen concentrations in the GC oven and automatically switching to an inert gas when typically 25% LEL is reached the DVLS³ Multi-Sensor ensures safety. The detection range is 0 – 50% LEL.

In addition the DVLS³ multi-sensor can support up to 4 sensors: Hydrogen, Hydrogen as Leak Detector, Temperature, Barometric Pressure & Liquid level.

Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions (DVLS) kindly invite guests to visit their booth 224 to find the new DVLS³ Multi-Sensor on display and to meet their North American distributor: Envantage Incorporated. To learn more on the DVLS³ Multi-Sensor please attend the lecture on Wednesday October 17, 2012 at 9:00 AM with the title: “A Hydrogen Sensor can Ensure Safety when using Hydrogen Carrier Gas in a Chromatographic System".

At the GCC in 2010 the DVLS Liquefied Gas Injector (LGI) was awarded for the Best New Technology. The injector is able to inject gases in liquid phase under high pressure directly on-column. The on-column injection allows the opportunity to analyse the high boiling oily residues in LPG using a GC method and is compatible with ASTM D7756-11 and PrEN 16423 for Residues in Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gases by Gas Chromatography with Liquid, On-Column Injection.

In addition to determining Residues in LPG Da Vinci developed new applications based on the LGI on-column technique to determine DIPA in LPG, NMP, TBC and VCH in Butadiene. Analytical results have demonstrated that the LGI technique is a safe, fast and accurate method. Visit DVLS's booth number 224 to find the DVLS Liquefied Gas Injector on display and to request a copy of the new application notes.
