An explosion at a power plant in Oklahoma has led to the closure of one of the enterprise's pipelines.
While the cause of the accident is yet to be determined, the operator of the line - Oneok - has claimed that "no danger" was posed to workers or the public, Bloomberg reports.
Spokesman for Oklahoma Natural Gas Don Sherry said that there had been concerns as to whether local residents would lose their energy supply, but this turned out not to be the case.
He remarked: "There'll be an investigation into what caused the explosion … Once the line was shut down and the fire burned out there was no danger."
According to Mr Sherry, no casualties and minimal damage were recorded as a result of the blast.
It follows recent reports in the Hartford Courant that a similar incident at a Connecticut power plant last month may have been caused by poor oversight and inadequate safety procedures.
