Alphasense recently expanded their product range with the launch of a new series of photoionisation detection (PID) sensors to provide their customers with unsurpassed performance, a wider choice of detection ranges as well as great value and prompt delivery times as the new sensors are kept in stock at their factory in England. Alphasense’s customers can now choose from five models of PID sensor, each one offering a specific range (0-20ppm, 0-40ppm, 0-200ppm, 0-4,000ppm and 0-10,000ppm) so end-users can pick the right sensor for their particular application.

Alphasense’s PIDs proved exceedingly low concentration Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) measurements; their most sensitive model has a detection range as low as 1.5 ppb. The new sensors offer fast response times with superb stability, with almost no effects from changes in humidity or temperature. A year long warranty on lamps and a two year warranty on all other components, as well as a operator-replaceable stack and particulate filter and the excellent technical backup that Alphasense have always provided further enhance these cutting-edge sensors.

According to Erik Børgesen Alphasense’s and MOCON Europe’s DVP Business Manager “The market for PID sensors is growing globally and we are responding with new products and technology to meet this demand. Our new PID sensor range offers excellent performance at a price point we believe will help lead to further adoption in both the environmental and safety sectors.
