Qa3 is delighted to announce that we will be serving as a session chair for the International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant taking place on July 16-21, 2017 in Providence, Rhode Island.
On behalf of the conference we would like to invite you to share your work, ideas, research, and challenges in the field of mercury by submitting an abstract for consideration within our session:
“Mercury in the Oil and Gas Industry, from initial exploration through production to end-of-life decommissioning”
Mercury poses many challenges for the oil and gas industry including corrosion issues, the potential for worker exposure and environmental release. This session will focus on how the industry is dealing with these issues and how it intends to mitigate mercury release to the environment from the impending decommissioning of many mercury containing oil and gas fields that are nearing end of life.
You can find detailed instructions regarding abstract submission here.
Please note the deadline is December 15th, 2016 – so please submit as soon as possible.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Steering Committee in February in Rhode Island and presenters will be notified of acceptance by April 15th, 2017.
If you have any questions about this session at any time please email us at [email protected]
