Measurement Specialties (France) introduces an advanced and robust fluid property analyser which directly and simultaneously measures the dynamic viscosity, density, dielectric constant and temperature of fluids. With demonstrated performance from thousands of hours of engine and industrial applications testing, this patented technology provides real-time, in-situ monitoring for the quality, condition and contaminant loading of fluids such as oils, lubricants, fuels, refrigerants, solvents and cryogenics. The sensor is designed for direct installation into fluid reservoirs as well as high pressure, high flow conduits or process streams. Typical applications include on-engine oil condition monitoring, in-line fuel systems, compressors, turbines, refrigeration circuits, transmission and hydraulic systems, and process stream measurements such as distillate and blending applications. On-line fluid property monitoring protects equipment and machinery by providing users with real-time diagnostic information regarding fluid quality and condition. This allows operators to optimize their preventive maintenance program, to minimize equipment down-time and minimize labour costs while reducing the world demand for oil by relying on condition based drain intervals.
