Focus on easy oils and fuels analysis to comply with international norms
Additives in lubricating oils and sulfur in fuel levels are increasingly regulated by international norms. PANalytical is proud to introduce two Epsilon 1 benchtops, offering easy and economical solutions to analyse the limited number of elements enabling out-of-the-box norm compliance.
Epsilon 1 is a fully integrated XRF analyser consisting of a spectrometer, built-in computer and touch screen, offering dedicated application solutions.
More reliable results can be achieved because the thin-window Ag anode X-ray tube ensures high quality and sensitivity for the accurate quantification of P, S and Cl without interference of possible line overlaps in the XRF spectrum. The 50 kV X-ray tube and generator are ideal for exciting zinc, resulting in faster analysis times. Built-in temperature and air-pressure sensors compensate for atmospheric variations, ensuring unaffected results for light elements like phosphorus and sulfur
Epsilon 1 produces fast, cost-effective, precise and accurate data with minimal operator dependence and sample preparation. Powered by the latest advances in excitation and detection technology the Epsilon 1 is an excellently performing low-cost benchtop instrument. The total running cost is minimal, with only one euro per analysis. This is far less than for techniques such as AAS, ICP and wet chemical methods that are costly and additionally require a dedicated skilled operator
Epsilon 1 is built using PANalytical market-leading technology with superior quality, world-wide service and application support. Read more about the various Epsilon 1 application solutions.
