Water analysis is of special importance in chemical and petrochemical industry. Since in such industrial facilities explosive gases, vapours or mist can be present, the measurement technique needs protection in order to avoid explosions. Therefore, online analysers for the determination of TOC, COD, and TNb are built into an analyser shelter with climate control (HVAC). However, stand-alone analysers offer a more manageable solution.

LAR Process Analysers offers a wide range of analysers that use tailor made explosion-proofed solutions. All housings are in accordance to the latest ATEX, NEMA 4X as well as IECex standards. These stand-alone analysers do not necessarily require air-conditioned shelters, providing an easier way to operate the analysers. The Ex p housings are made specifically for the use within hazardous, potentially explosive environments in accordance to international standards such as IEC 60079-14. The zone classification depends on the type of flammable substances e.g. gas, vapour, mist or a cloud of combustible dust and the probability that they can present. LAR's housings can be used in ATEX Zone 1 and 2 (T3, T4) as well as in IECex Zone 1 (T4).

LAR offers plant operators a secure way to use online analysers even in hazardous and corrosive environments.
