Without the use of any reagents or chemicals, our analysers are capable of measuring the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and thus not polluting the water a second time.

To measure the COD, our QuickCOD analysers first measure the Total Oxygen Demand (TOD) which is then correlated to the COD. The analysers use a unique reagent-free thermal combustion method at 1200°C, whereby a 100 precent oxidation of a sample is achieved, including any particles and organic nitrogen.

The TOD is measured within three minutes and is a very reliable and reproducible parameter, that correlates easily to COD. All this brings the great advantage that the QuickCOD analysers' test results are very accurate, clean and require low maintenance. The on-line analysers are suitable for a wide range of industries, amongst others the food & beverage, pulp & paper and chemical & petrochemical industry.

In short:

  • Full oxidisation
  • Raw, unfiltered sample water
  • Reagent-free → no second pollution
  • Low maintenance and operation costs
  • Protection housing
  • Fast and accurate
  • TNb (optional), TOC and COD measurements simultaneously in one analyser

LAR has over 25 years of experience in developing, manufacturing and distributing high-quality analysers. Worldwide, there are hundreds of LAR's QuickCOD-analysers that are successfully in operation.
