The PAS pressure transducer of industrial measuring technology manufacturer KOBOLD Messring GmbH (Germany), enables the precise monitoring of absolute pressure and overpressure. The devices, available with different measuring ranges of between –1 to 1.5 bar and 0 to 800 bar, can be used for a multitude of applications.

The heart of this robust and long-term stable measuring instrument is a piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor. It is accurate to within 0.075% of the calibrated measuring range and can withstand process temperatures of between –30°C and +100°C. Appropriate connecting pieces make it easy and quick to install. An extensive range of industry-standard accessories is available to adapt the device to each application, including various types of diaphragm seal, which can be connected both directly and via a capillary line, depending on the application.

A tried-and-tested, industry-quality microprocessor provides a host of setting options and comprehensive system monitoring. It controls sensors, memories, A/D-converters, and current. It also compares and compensates input and output values. The measuring instrument has a 4–20 mA analogue output with two conductors. Settings and communication with automation systems can be administered via the HART protocol. The device has a clear, freely configurable, built-in LED display.

The protection class is IP 67. Versions with ATEX Ex d and Ex i certifications will soon be available.
