Call for papers on Mercury Research in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries

The Scientific Committee of ICMGP The 15th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant have announced a “Call for Papers”. The 2022 ICMGP conference will be held virtually from the 24th-29th July. Being held virtually will now give more access and opportunities for Mercury Researches who in the past were unable to attend previous ICMGP events. The Committee are looking for both Oral or Poster presentations from researchers involved in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries from across all continents and experience levels. Topics for the July 2022 virtual event will include:

  • Addressing global Hg challenges in a changing world
  • Analytical methods for Hg speciation to assess impacts of Climate Change
  • Atmospheric Hg cycling: Source & Emissions
  • Case studies on implementing the Minamata Convention
  • Energy/ Fossil Fuels
  • How are we doing in implementing the Minamata Convention?

  • Mercury in Marine Ecosystems
  • Mercury in Polar Ecosystems

  • Mercury Treatment/ Abatement
  • Predicting the Impacts of Climate Change on Hg Cycling
  • Progress in understanding Hg and human health impacts
  • Risk Assessment of Hg exposure to wildlife, birds and fish
  • The impacts of climate change on global Hg cycling

If you would like to contribute to ICMGP 2022 then please submit your paper no later than 28th  February 2022.
