Hach Ultra (Switzerland) has released a new multi-channel sodium analyser, the Polymetron 9240. This on-line process analyser provides low level sodium measurement in high purity water applications for the power generation industry. With a detection limit of 0.01ppb and a range of 0-10,000ppb, it is ideally designed for monitoring sodium in demineralized water, boiler feed, condensate and all parts of the steam/water cycle.
This new sodium analyser has 1 to 4 channels with optimized rinsing sequence allowing different types of water on the same instrument. It ensures automatic adjustment of conditioning across pH, sample and temperature changes. Its common interface presents a user with immediate and simplified process visualisation.
Extensive communication capabilities of this new analyser include analogue, alarm relay, JBUS/MODBUS and Profibus. The innovative and sleek design optimizes use of space with an IP65 transmitter, wall-mount enclosure in ABS and a SS frame. Operation and maintenance are designed to minimize total cost of ownership.
