New Intrinsically Safe Pressure Sensor
Jan 04 2009
Futek Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. (USA) is pleased to present the intrinsically safe PMP500 Pressure Sensor. Multiple intrinsically safe approvals include FM, ATEX, CE conformity and CSA to help support international shipments of OEM equipment designed with these transmitters. These four approvals also provide global recognition and acceptance of the intrinsically safe ratings.
The stainless steel, rugged construction features an all welded measuring cell making the transmitter improved for media compatibility. The compact design also makes the PMP500 suitable for industrial applications including, chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas refining, food industry, and mechanical engineering functions. The PMP500 pressure sensor can specifically be used in pressure measurement applications where intrinsically safe ratings are required. The PMP500 features an all-welded stainless steel measuring cell for improved media compatibility. There are no internal soft sealing materials that may react with the media or deteriorate over time. The compact case is also made of stainless steel and is available with environmental protection rating up to NEMA 6P / IP 68. Each PMP500 undergoes extensive quality control testing and calibration to achieve an accuracy of = 0.25% full scale. The printed circuit boards use state-of-the-art surface mount technology and are potted in silicone gel for protection against mechanical shock, vibration and moisture. The PMP500 is individually temperature compensated to assure accuracy and long-term stability even when exposed to severe temperature variations. A ½” NPT female conduit connection is standard and a cable compression electrical connection is available as an option.Digital Edition
