FLUXANA offers its customers electrical and gas operated fusion systems. Fusion is used to achieve highest precision for analysis with XRF or ICP.

This places high demands on the sample preparation. Fusion systems are configured so that the customer can create any type of application. Here, the traditionally used VULCAN gas operated systems complement the newly introduced electrical fusion machine.

Electrical Fusion: Electrical Fusion Machine.

  • Fully automatic electrical fusion instrument
  • Fully automatic operation for 2, 4 or 6 stations
  • Semi-automatic operation for 1 station (basic model)
  • Rotation stirring with up to 250 rotations per minute; no rocking!
  • Microprocessor control
  • Application with variable temperature settings is possible
  • Highest precision for all materials. Only 1 sample is melted every time.
  • 10 different application programs can be set
  • Operates with pure lithium tetraborate or mixtures of lithium tetraborate and lithium metaborate.
  • No wetting agents, such as LiBr or LiI, required
  • Compatible with the gas operated VULCAN; no new calibration necessary
  • Observe your sample during the fusion process in the oven via camera

Gas Operated Fusion: VULCAN

  • Fully automatic gas operated fusion instrument (propane, butane or natural gas)
  • Fully automatic operation for 2, 4 or 6 stations
  • Optionally also suited to ICP or peroxide fusion
  • Rotation stirring with up to 250 rotations per minute; no rocking!
  • Microprocessor control
  • Application with variable temperature settings is possible
  • Highest precision for all materials. All stations work in parallel
  • 10 different application programs can be set
  • Operates with pure lithium tetraborate or mixtures of lithium tetraborate and lithium metaborate.
  • No wetting agents, such as LiBr or LiI, required
  • Compatible with the electrical VITRIOX; no new calibration necessary
  • Observe your sample during the fusion process (open system)

FLUXANA offers a comprehensive range of accessories for the fusion systems. This includes development of a complete application in our accredited development laboratory.
