Special applications are needed to safely and eectively analyze high viscosity samples in XRF.

We have developed an application that uses grease caps made of BOREOX® with a 1 mm depression.

High viscosity oil and fat samples, such as grease or creams, can be filled into the depression with a spatula. In this case, it is important that the sample is applied with a dened thickness.

For measurement, the tablets are placed into a sample cup and measured in a helium atmosphere. This method is also described in DIN 51829 "Determination of Additive and Wear Elements in Greases."

The pressed tablets are available with the diameters 34 mm, 36,5 mm and 40 mm.
