Manual planning boards in the computer age? Surely they disappeared with flairs and tank tops!
They did. Software systems replaced that need but planning boards increasingly occupy a new position working alongside the computer. The following customer statement, expressed to the Eurocharts staff summarises this new demand:-
‘Although we plan with the computer we still lack an overview or ‘big picture’ of our complete planning schedules and scrolling or out dated print-outs are of no use for team and production meetings’
This new planning board niche is to provide that elusive ‘picture on the wall’. A complete overview of (usually) computer generated schedules displaying a perpetual plan in a large and rapidly updated format. These systems are available as ready boxed kit solutions or designed individually to meet any specific application. Project Planning, Production Boards, Maintenance Schedules and Staffing Displays are but a few of their popular uses.
Kanban Boards, Lean Management and Continuous Improvement management methods are increasing the demand for the new office and factory Workstation Information Display Systems. Wall mounted or free standing visualisation boards and magnetic backed document pocket holders and accessories form professional, colour coded information displays enabling documentation to be totally visual, protected and simply updated.
Eurocharts (UK) have available by request their new, Planning and Visualisation Board Systems Catalogue supported by a no obligation free planning advisory service and provision of samples.
