Emerson has launched the latest ASCO™ Series 327C solenoid valve, which has been developed for use in power plants, refineries, and chemical processing plants. With its direct-acting, high-flow design, the ASCO™ Series 327C offers an exceptional flow-to-power ratio. This valve, with its balanced poppet design, ensures optimal flow rates, with low power consumption, making it a perfect choice for use in environments where efficiency is a key consideration.

In industrial facilities the need for well-functioning valves cannot be overstated. Facilities handling gas and fluid flows, such as power plants and refineries, often use hundreds or even thousands of valves. The repercussions of a single malfunctioning valve can be far-reaching, disrupting critical processes, compromising product quality, and necessitating unscheduled downtime and maintenance work.

The ASCO Series 327C tackles these challenges by including features that enhance reliability and durability, therefore increasing operational efficiency. Its sophisticated two-layer dynamic seal technology ensures low friction and excellent stiction resistance, facilitating reliable valve performance across a wide temperature range from –60 to 90 °C. Moreover, the valve has a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 rating, accentuating its high-performance integrity and exceedingly low risk of failure throughout its lifecycle.

Anne Sophie Kedad, Director of Marketing for Emerson’s Discrete Automation Group, commented, “Facilities such as power plants and refineries have demanding, high-flow gas and fluid delivery processes and need valves that are efficient, reliable and easy to maintain across thousands of hours of operation. The ASCO Series 327C solenoid valve provides the reliable performance these facilities require, helping improve operational efficiency by minimising unnecessary maintenance trips and extending the intervals between proof tests.”

Emerson’s ASCO Series 327C contributes to supply chain efficiency and simplifies specification complexities for industrial users worldwide. As a single, globally approved solution for high-flow solenoid valve applications, it streamlines procurement and deployment processes. Additionally, the Series 327C’s unique electrical test connection minimises field commissioning time and safeguards against moisture ingress during storage, further enhancing its appeal to industrial operators looking for dependable and efficient solutions.
