Subsea Sand Monitoring Contract Awarded in Norway

Dec 16 2009

ClampOn (Norway) will supply subsea sand monitoring sensors to the Tordis Vigdis Controls Modification project.

The contract is for 18 ClampOn DSP-06 Compact Particle Monitor, which will be delivered in 2010. The funnels and sensors will be installed on the subsea modules by an ROV at a depth of about 200m. The Tordis and Vigdis oilfields are in the North Sea, to the west of the Norwegian city of Stavanger. Subsea sensors from ClampOn are the only acoustic sensors with atmospheric and high pressure chambers, pipe contact verification, electronic beam welding and dual independent electronics. These qualities make ClampOn the preferred supplier of non-intrusive sensors for applications worldwide.

ClampOn’s position as one of the industry’s preferred supplier of subsea (and topside) sand and pig monitoring equipment proves that operators all over the world value the quality and reliability of ClampOn’s products.
ClampOn subsea and topside non-intrusive acoustic devices have assisted worldwide operators in providing first alarm notifications for solids or sand during production to take smart corrective action. Not all acoustic monitors are alike. ClampOn’s acoustic technology is field proven every day with thousands of units in successful operation since 1986.
