New ATEX approvals have just been announced for five versions of Beck GmbH’s (Germany) pressure switches.

The Beck 901 pressure switch, marked II 2G Ex IIB T4, is approved for use in explosion-risk zones 0, 1 and 2 with gas atmospheres. The version marked II 2G Ex ia IIC T4 is approved for other zones 1 and 2. The Type 901 pressure switch is easy to adjust with a graduated knob and has adjusted ranges from 5 to 3,000 mBar. It comes with a choice of nitrile, silicone, Viton or EPDM diaphragms and either ¼ “ BSP or push-on connections. A vacuum switch version is also available.   The Beck 930.8x differential pressure switch, marked II qG Ex ia IIB T4, is now approved for zones 1 and 2. Up to 100 mBar over-pressure proof, the 930.8x also has a graduated adjustment, with pressure ranges of 5 to 50 mBar and a range of diaphragm options.
