Jun 23 2011

East Hills Instruments Inc. announces the acquisition of Applied Resources Inc. Although the purchase price was not disclosed industry sources speculate that the annual sales combined with inventory and its proprietary assets including the URL www.calibrator.com are valued between 1.5 to 3 million. A.R.I. operations will be relocating to E.H.I. home offices in New York.

East Hills Instruments recent acquisition is a major play in supporting its continued “best in breed” strategy on manufacturing, marketing and selling superior core instruments to the power, pharmaceutical and paper mill industries. It broadens an already strong portfolio of test equipment brands, including Magnum Pro Calibration Pumps, Winchester Engineering, Dewey Air Switch and the MASTER distribution rights for Time Electronics USA, Practical Instruments Electronics (P.I.E.) and Scandura USA.

"A.R.I. is a natural extension to our existing business and will create additional synergy between our house brands" says Seth Ratner, COO. "The unique line of products such as the loop power supply will bring new customer awareness to our other brands thus creating a larger community of interest."

"East Hills Instruments is a perfect home for A.R.I.," says Cindy Adams, Vice President of Business Development, A.R.I. "I greatly look forward to working closely with their marketing and design team”.

A.R.I. has over 20 years of micro-electronic design, engineering and manufacturing experience in the process control and instrumentation industry. A.R.I. was directly involved early on with designing a vast number of technologically advanced instruments for such companies as; Ashcroft, Heise, Moore Industries, Beta-Hathaway, Transcat Inc. Today it continues to manufacture and sell worldwide under the A.R.I. brand name as well as private labeling its products to a number of other manufactures.
