Capula (UK) has announced the opening of a new regional office in Aberdeen, Scotland. The move reflects the company’s commitment to the Oil and Gas industry, and intention to develop its increasing involvement in this

key geographical location.

"In the current economic climate, the industry needs to increase efficiency, productivity and safety," explains Chief Executive Roger Turner, "Many upstream oil producers already use the OSIsoft PI system to assist with

collecting plant data, but few are using this time series data infrastructure to anything like its full capability.

"This is where Capula’s strengths exist - we are realtime control and automation specialists using PI to optimise production while driving down costs in the energy and utilities sectors. The opening of our Aberdeen office reflects our intention to make an increasingly positive impact in these sectors."
