The steady fall in unleaded fuel prices continued over the past week as the UK downstream oil industry lowered prices at the pump once again.

In its weekly update, published on August 10th at 09:30 BST, the Department of Energy and Climate Change notes a fall in unleaded prices twice that of diesel.

Both fuels were lowered in price by the UK consumer-facing oil industry over the week to August 9th, however, after diesel held level at 119.03p per litre last week.

This week it stands at an average of 118.94p per litre at pumps nationwide - a drop of 0.08p per litre with rounding effects taken into account.

Meanwhile, unleaded dropped by 0.16p per litre, from 116.51p on August 2nd to 116.35p this week.

Unleaded is now at its lowest price since March 15th, while diesel stands slightly above its price of 118.21p seen at the beginning of April.
