A Short Course on Polyolefin Separation Techniques will be held in Dubai on March 25, 2015, the same week and in the same venue where ARABLAB will be held, optimising the agenda and trip resources for those who plan to visit.
This Course is intended for scientists, researchers, laboratory managers, laboratory technicians, production
plant/quality control personnel or other staff in the petrochemical industries dealing with polyolefin analysis,
either for product development or for quality control in the production plants, and will be given by
Polymer Char reference scientists with an extensive background and expertise in the field.
Contents will provide a general context about topics needed daily in the polyolefin characterisation works, by
covering high temperature GPC/SEC, Chemical Composition Distribution Techniques (TREF, CRYSTAF, CEF, TGIC) as well as hyphenated techniques combining Molar Mass Distribution with Chemical Composition Distribution such as cross-fractionation (CFC) or Preparative Fractionation. All with the objective of providing a better understanding about polyolefin microstructure through the main separation techniques used nowadays in Polyolefin Characterisation.
Date: March 25, 2015, 8.45AM
Venue: Dubai World Trade Center, Room Al Ain D
