Free webinar: enhancing accuracy and efficiency in renewable fuel laboratory testing

28 May, 2026

On 2 June, TRACE will host a webinar exploring how the rapid expansion of renewable fuels is transforming requirements for Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Sulphur (TS) analysis in modern laboratories. As renewable diesel, biodiesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) become more widely adopted, laboratories are under increasing pressure to deliver accurate, repeatable results across complex and variable fuel matrices.

The session will examine the analytical challenges created by these new fuel streams, including low-level detection limits, precision and repeatability concerns, and the need for more efficient workflows. It will also highlight how advances in combustion elemental analysis are improving performance, reliability and automation in routine testing environments.

Key areas covered in the webinar include:

  • The growing importance of TN and TS analysis in renewable fuels testing
  • Current analytical challenges associated with complex renewable fuel matrices
  • How new combustion analysis technologies improve precision, reliability and workflow efficiency
  • Automation solutions designed to simplify difficult renewable fuel sample handling
  • How laboratories can prepare for evolving regulatory requirements and future fuel specifications
  • The role of modern analytical systems in improving productivity while reducing operational complexity

Presented by Sebastian Sanchez, Product Manager at TRACE, the webinar will also demonstrate how modern analyser designs support simultaneous sulphur and nitrogen determination while reducing manual intervention.

This webinar is aimed at Lab Managers, QC Technicians and R&D Managers involved in renewable fuels testing who want to stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in trace-level sulphur and nitrogen analysis.
