Industry expert appointed to drive lubricant product line expansion

Savant Labs proudly welcomes Amy Shifflett as product line manager, bringing more than two decades of experience in lubricant technology and industry technical leadership. Amy joins Savant Labs following careers at Lubrizol and NSF International. She will support the continued advancement of Savant Labs’ testing capabilities and product line expansion.

A graduate of Michigan State University’s Honors College, Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Her expertise has been widely recognised across the refrigeration and lubricant sectors, including the publication of multiple technical articles. Her most recent work, ‘Adapting Cold Chains to Evolving Refrigerant Technology’, appeared in the November 2025 issue of Food Logistics and examines lubricant/refrigerant interactions amid the global transition to low-GWP refrigerants.

Amy has maintained an active presence in professional organisations throughout her career. She is a current member of ASHRAE (and Secretary of ASHRAE Technical Committee 3.2, Past Chair of ASHRAE Technical Committee 8.9), ASTM, and NLGI. In 2025, she delivered a Lubrizol-sponsored technical talk on lubrication challenges associated with low GWP refrigerants at ASHRAE Winter Conference.

With her blend of scientific training, industry leadership, and lubricant problem-solving experience, Amy brings exceptional technical and strategic capability to Savant Labs’ mission of supporting global customers with high-quality fluid testing, innovation, and performance insights.
