Tethys Instruments (France) recently introduced the UV400 ATEX – an explosion proof version of its on-line water analyser.

Based on UV spectroscopy, the UV400 ATEX is specially design to monitor aromatics hydrocarbons (PAH), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), organic matter, ammonia (NH4) and other parameters for  refineries and chemical plants on "Ex" classified areas.

The maintenance and operating cost are extremely low due to an automatic cleaning system and an ultra long lifetime lamp (over 10 years).

A thermostatic vortex cooler can be installed as an option to maintain a moderate temperature inside the enclosure for outside use with high ambient temperature.

A unique method for hydrogen sulphide and ammonia based on UV spectroscopy in gas phase allows measurements without interferences on heavily charged waste water.

The colour touch screen and intuitive interface on the instrument makes the UV400 ATX extremely user-friendly, the software is available in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian,  Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish.
