For over 20 years, Turner Designs (TDHI) have been world leaders in oil in water monitors. Building on the success of the TD500D, the new TD550 and TD560 oil in water instruments offer the same unparalleled accuracy and reliability with a new modern interface for the oil and gas industry, now available in the UK from PMA.

The new TD550 utilises the same optics as the TD500D but with a new updated intuitive interface for ease of use.  Suitable for oil in water samples where the oil has a API greater than 45, it’s the perfect instrument for crude and other heavy oils.

The TD560 uses the same platform but incorporates a second optical channel using lower UV wavelengths to determine lighter hydrocarbons in water such as BTEX, gas condensates, gasoline, jet fuel, kerosene and transformer oils.

As with the TD500D, both the TD550 and the TD560 are compatible with the TDHI no-solvent extraction method which offers reduced analysis times and avoids the use of solvents.

As with all TDHI instruments, the oil measurement is based on a UV fluorescence method offering high selectivity and low detection limits, free of interference from turbidity.
