Pilodist (Germany) introduces a new generation of combined automatic crude oil distillation system Petrodist 400 A. This system combines two methods for crude oil distillation (ASTM D-2892 / D-5236) and represents an economic approach by using several system components to alternatively work for both distillation systems.

The system includes a complete set-up for the distillation process for ASTM D-2892 (TBP distillation) as well as a complete set-up for ASTM D-5236 (Potstill distillation). Both distillation parts are combined by using one common fraction collector, central control station incl. PC and vacuum supply – and thermostat- station. Due to these commonly used components the operator can run either TBP distillation or POTSTILL distillation at a time (not simultaneously).

Petrodist 400 A can be upgraded with several options like dehydration as well as several safety features as shown in the picture.

For semi-automatic combined system see Petrodist 400 S, fully automatic combination system for either alternative or simultaneous operation of both distillations see Petrodist 400 CC.
