XRF is extensively used for the elemental analysis of oils, fuels and petrochemicals, reflected in several norms and standards, like ASTM 2622, ISO 14596 and ISO 20884.

With Oil-Trace, from Panalytical (Netherlands), a single calibration based on relatively inexpensive mineral oil standards can be used for quantifying important elements like sulphur, sodium and wear metals like iron, zinc and tungsten in many fuels, oils and mixtures.

The advantages of Oil-Trace delivered with AxiosmAX-Petro WDXRF systems are now extended to the new benchtop Epsilon 3X spectrometers.

Epsilon 3x spectrometers, PANalytical’s EDXRF systems for the petrochemical industry, in combination with Oil-Trace bring XRF petroleum analysis to the next level.
