ACTIVA-S is a good ICP-AES instrument to analyse bioethanol. The traditional procedure for the analysis is a dilution of ethanol with a lower volatility solvent, or with water. In order to avoid

sample preparation and risk of contamination, it’s preferable to analyse straight ethanol. This is possible with the ACTIVA-S using a specific sample introduction: a cooled cyclonic spray chamber. Horiba Scientific.
