With over 30 years of experience in coulometric titrations and ongoing research to improve product lines, GR Scientific are launching a new range of coulometric reagents
Aquamax KF Reagent ‘Frit’, from GR Scientific (UK), is a general coulometric KF anolyte (stored in the anodic chamber) that is used with generator electrodes which incorporate a frit or diaphragm. This frit separates the anode and cathode chambers and is used in conjunction with Aquamax KF Reagent ‘Cathode’.
The complete pack is supplied in 8x100ml bottles of anode reagent and 1x 50ml bottle of cathode reagent along with a plastic funnel for ease of pouring. All this is conveniently located in a single carton.
For those applications that require a fritless generator electrode, the Aquamax KF Reagent “Combi” has been developed. This lower cost, ease of maintenance anolyte does not require a cathode reagent. It is supplied in a single carton of 8 x 100ml bottles complete with a plastic funnel.
Performing a Karl Fischer Titration using oil as the sample will not achieve complete dissolution in typical KF reagents as the preferred media is methanol. To conform to ASTM, API, EI, ISO (plus others) methodology for water content determination of oil and petroleum products, Aquamax KF Reagent Oil has been developed. This formula has been modified with Xylene to improve sample solubility and miscibility with an incorporated blend of other solubilisers to eliminate side reactions.
A complete pack containing 8 x 100ml bottles of KF Oil and 1x 50ml bottle of cathode reagent along with a plastic funnel is conveniently located in a single carton. Safer to store – Safer to use.
