GR Scientific (UK) are pleased to announce the recent appointment of John Crawford as Technical Manager. John has over 30 years experience in laboratory analysis and quality management, since starting out in 1981 as an apprentice petrochemicals laboratory technician with the Associated Octel Co. Ltd at their Fuels Technology Centre in Milton Keynes.

After seven years learning a range of petroleum test methods and developing novel fuel additive packages John moved on to the BP Research Centre in Sunbury-on-Thames as a Senior Chemist. Initially supervising the lubricant product quality and wear check testing section, then after 3 years moving over to the highly respected crude oil assay team as laboratory coordinator.

After 10 years John left BP to join Inspectorate as Technical Manager for the UK Petrochemicals laboratories, managing all laboratory UKAS accreditations and auditing UK and European labs ensuring a consistency of high quality operations.

Since 2003 John has worked in Environmental laboratories as Quality Manager, bringing his experience to successfully manage ISO 17025 and MCERTS systems. John will be providing technical support for the existing range of GR Scientific products as well as being at the forefront of designing new products to meet the needs of the modern petrochemicals laboratory.
