Defiant Technologies (USA) has developed a new MEMS based gas chromatography system dubbed the FROG-4000. In about 5 minutes, this new GC-PID micro-system will detect benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, TCE, PCE, and other VOCs in water and soil down to 1 ppb.

FROG-4000 reports the chemical name and concentration on its display screen and stores every chromatogram on a micro-SD card for later use. This game-changing technology enables lab quality results at the field sampling site. FROG-4000 saves money and time. All of this is made possible with cutting edge microfabricated technology that shrinks lab equipment down to battery operated components. FROG-4000 uses ambient air as its carrier gas and can operate 6 to 8 hours on its rechargeable battery.
