The new intrinsically safe portable density meter DMA 35 Ex Petrol from Anton Paar comes with ATEX marking  II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4, and is certified according to the latest EU Directive 2014/34/EU. DMA 35 Ex Petrol with its special housing is particularly suitable for measuring flammable petroleum samples. It fully complies with the ASTM D7777 and IP 559 standards. The instrument shows °API, API Density, or API Gravity of petroleum products for the correct reference temperature and product group without the need for further calculations, which eliminates potential user errors. DMA 35 Ex Petrol only needs 2 mL of sample for the measurement, delivers results in less than a minute, including filling of sample via the built-in pump and cleaning, and simplify measurements in the field. Packaged in a robust housing with a hard-glass front, the DMA 35 series is built to withstand the knocks and spills of outdoor use (protection class IP 54).
