New, state-of-the-art density meter ensures 100 % compliance with global petroleum standards
Feb 25 2022
Anton Paar have launched their new, Next-Level Density Meter, providing users with four-digit density measurements in 20 seconds, making it the fastest density meter in the world. With its industry-specific profile for petroleum products, the density meter is perfect for high-throughput applications for crude oil, fuel, and lubricant quality control. It can also perform blending and quality control checks for raw materials and biofuels and is compliant with ASTM D4052, D5002, and ISO 12185, and aligns with ASTM D1250 API table 53 A, B and D .
There are three models: the DMA 4101, 4501 and 5001, offering four, five, and six-digit accuracy ranges. Measurement results are ready before temperature equilibrium is reached, so there is no extra operator waiting time. Anton Paar’s FillingCheckTM and zoomable U-ViewTM quickly detect micro-bubbles or other sample contaminations in real-time. The instruments offer a wide range of automation options, from Anton Paar’s Xsample Series, which includes automatic temperature control and cleaning cycles to prevent filling problems caused by human error.
Anton Paar’s patented Pulsed Excitation Method has pushed the boundaries of digital density to a new level of precision. Their new density meter’s viscosity correction capability guarantees an amazing level of precision across the whole measuring range, even for highly viscous or dense samples. The density meters can be used with a variety of data interfaces, and can be linked to AP Connect, Anton Paar’s lab execution software. This revolutionary technology makes it an ideal instrument for laboratories in the petroleum industry.
