Anton Paar is making routine FAME analysis in diesel more accessible with the Lyza 7000 FTIR spectrometer. By combining predefined methods, guided workflows, and embedded quantification, Lyza 7000 helps fuel laboratories determine biodiesel content directly from liquid diesel samples, reporting results in % volume.
FAME content is measured throughout fuel production and distribution to support blend verification, release testing, terminal operations, and incoming goods inspection. Using FTIR, the characteristic infrared response of FAME is determined directly in the diesel sample, providing quantified results with minimal sample preparation.
Lyza 7000 supports FTIR analysis by guiding operators through the measurement and keeping the relevant settings and evaluation steps consistent. This reduces training time and allows users to obtain the required FAME result without having to interpret spectral data.
The embedded quantification feature allows users to quantify FAME content on the standalone Lyza 7000 system. During routine operation, the user selects the method and measures the sample. Spectral processing and calculation are performed in the background, and the FAME concentration is displayed directly on the instrument.
