Anton Paar’s SVM 1001 and SVM 1001 Simple Fill budget-friendly kinematic viscometers are an entry ticket into the world of digital automatic kinematic viscometry.

Anton Paar have made digital automatic kinematic viscometry affordable with their SVM 1001 and SVM 1001. Both instruments analyse many different sample types, across a wide viscosity range and feature an unbreakable measuring cell. These devices have also been designed to operate without the necessity of a stopwatch, extra glass capillaries or liquid bath.

The instruments’ automatic measurement and calculation of results eliminates human error, while its Peltier temperature control eliminates the necessity for a thermostating-bath, bath liquid, or thermometer. With its single measuring cell, the SVM 1001 series covers 0.3 mm²/s to 5 000 mm²/s, a range that would traditionally require 10 or more Ubbelohde-type capillaries.

These cutting-edge, yet economic instruments provide ASTM D7042 and D445-compliant results. Compared to manual glass capillary viscometers, the SVM 1001 series offers 150 % higher throughput while using 95 % less energy and 75 % less solvent.

SVM 1001 Simple Fill’s features a unique funnel filling system allowing the operator to directly fill a sample from the sample container, cutting out the need and associated costs for pipettes or syringes.
