As well as long distance detection, the SafEye openpath technique is also employed in a duct mount arrangement to allow rapid and reliable hydrocarbon gas / vapour detection in applications such as turbine intakes and air intake ducts. This arrangement is very fast responding in 1 second or even less, does not require a sampling system, and can be located in ducts from 0.6m up to 8.0m wide.

Spectrex is a world leader in development of unique optical flame and gas detection and suppression systems. For over 25 years, Spectrex products have met the highest customer requirements for fast response, reliable detectors in tough environments where operations are high risk and safety is paramount.
