Detcon’s (USA) Model 700 gas detectors are designed not only to endure harsh environments, but to survive with superior reliability. Dubbed as “environmentally bulletproof,” all sensor electronics are fully encapsulated within an electro-polished 316 stainless steel housing shielded from moisture ingress thereby virtually eliminating corrosion. The Model 700 is designed to withstand vibration and includes multi-layered transient spike protection circuitry.

All sensor elements are plug-in components for easy replacement in the field while operator interface is user friendly using a small handheld magnet. Configuration and routine calibration are intuitive and menu driven with fully scripted instructions, allowing operator interface to be both simplified and elevated during routine maintenance and system tests. The intelligent sensor modules feature dual redundant outputs, a linear 4-20 milliamp analogue signal and a Modbus RS-485 serial output. Sensor technologies include Catalytic bead, Electrochemical, Infrared, Photo ionisation and Solid State MOS.
