Making so-called "cells" is an additional way of using Boreox. A special press tool, with a defined indentation of, e.g., 1mm, is used for this. Paste samples, such as greases, pastes or (skin) creams, can be filled into the indentation with a spatula. Here, it is important to be sure that the applied sample has a defined layer thickness. The "cells" are placed in a sample cup and measured under helium. This method is also described in the DIN 51829 "Bestimmung von Additiv- und Abriebelementen in Schmierfetten" ("Determination of Additive and Wear Elements in Greases").

Cells are now available at Fluxana (Germany). They also deliver everything you need for a professional analysis: Preassembled professional cups with Cells, sample cups and Cells.
