Major Improvements for Compressor Sample Gas Cooler
Nov 30 2015
Bühler Technologies GmbH’s (Germany) EGK 2 sample gas cooler, certified for ATEX Zone 1 (cat2G) has had major improvements undertaken in order to increase the value for the operator. It is now offered as advanced version EGK 2A Ex.
Due to the already outstanding performance of 615 kJ/h the compressor system itself remains unchanged and continues to support up to four independent gas paths. Major emphasis has been put into the upgrade of the electronic controls of the unit.
The sytem now features a digital display programmable to °F or °C. The outlet dew point can be adjusted between 2 and 20°C with a span of +/-2K over the full range of the spec. Outputs can be programmed for the supervision of the dew point alarm. The status is signaled in the fail safe mode.
As an additional feature, an automatic restart can be programmed which is particularly advantageous for operators of large system installations.
Programming is carried out by keys from outside the control box during normal operation. An FCKW free coolant is employed for contemporary systems. The power supply is either 230 or 115 V 50/60 Hz AC.
