New Pump Station for Gas Cleaning Process in Bobov Dol Thermal Power Plant

MZT Pumpi (Macedonia), manufacturers of industrial pumps for transport of different types of liquid in South – East Europe, has successfully produced and delivered six Double Inlet Split case pumps equipped with six electric motors for Bobov Dol Thermal Power Plant in Bulgaria.

On November 2011 a new pump station was built for the process of gas cleaning where 6 pumps were installed; type D 80-60-74/U, each with Installed Motor Power 630KW/750rpm, Capacity Q=6000(m³/h), Head H=27(m).

The plant has 3 electricity units with a total capacity of 630 MW, which were brought into use between 1973 and 1975. The facility is producing electricity by burning lignite and brown coals. The average quantity of energy, produced between 1997 and 2001 was 2.3 million MWh.
