Libyan Petroleum Research Center expands laboratory expertise with Core collaboration

As part of efforts to enhance international collaboration and exchange expertise, Dr. Salem Alakhdar, Manager of Libya’s Petroleum Research Center, recently welcomed a delegation from Core Laboratories, represented by the company’s Aberdeen, UK branch. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise between both parties.

The delegation toured the centre’s laboratories and facilities, where they were briefed on the latest equipment and tools used in providing laboratory services and conducting technical studies related to the oil and gas sector.

Extensive discussions were held with the centre’s experts and specialists, focusing on advanced technologies, best scientific practices, and enhancing future cooperation, particularly in the fields of research and development. The discussions emphasised utilising modern technologies to improve operational efficiency in the Libyan oil sector.

This visit is part of ongoing efforts to develop Libya’s oil sector through partnerships with leading global companies, with the goal of enhancing the technical and research performance of the Petroleum Research Center and benefiting from cutting edge technologies in the field.
