IPS provides Waha Oil with comprehensive technology upgrades

Invensys Process Systems (USA) announce that it has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Waha Oil Company, a Libya-based oil producer, to provide comprehensive automation upgrades at the company’s oil fields in Gialo, Waha, Dahra, Samha and Defa.
Under the terms of the contract, IPS will deliver its proprietary InFusion(tm) enterprise control system technology to replace existing supervisory control and data acquisition systems for five remote-area operating centers and one main control room at the Waha oil field. IPS will also supply 30 new remote terminal units (RTUs) and retrofit existing RTUs, as well as replace wireless Systronic units.
