Horiba Instruments, Inc. and Fluid Imaging Technologies (both USA) are pleased to announce their new distribution partnership for the patented FlowCAM© automated particle vision and analysis system. The FlowCAM© combines the speed of data acquisition of typical particle analysers with the detailed individual particle information of microscopy.

The engineers of Fluid Imaging have designed the intuitive VisualSpreadsheet software which facilitates the rapid analysis of particle data and sophisticated pattern recognition operations for individual particle characterisation. Many companies worldwide already use the FlowCAM© to detect, image and evaluate particles and cells quickly and with more accuracy than with microscopy and other manual methods. The new partnership will take advantage of Horiba’s strong distribution channel, market knowledge and strong customer support in post-refinery petroleum applications.

Dr. Michael Pohl, Vice President of Horiba’s Scientific Group, states “It is a winning combination for both companies and for our customers in the Sulphur Analysis Division. We are always excited to bring innovative technologies to the marketplace.”

Fluid Imaging will continue to manufacture the FlowCAM© and Horiba’s Sulphur Analysis Division will be the exclusive, global distributor for sales and service for post-refinery petroleum applications. The product will be co-branded and carry both Horiba and FlowCAM© trademarks.
