Partnership Agreement Creates a Marriage Between Nir and Apc Technology

Topnir Systems (France) is a leader in the field of online Near InfraRed (NIR) analysers. Topnir`s products enable the measurement and monitoring of multiple hydrocarbon streams in less than one minute using a single online system. The company has a long history in the refining and petrochemicals industries, being the first world wide to implement an online application designed to measure and control octane number for gasoline production. The business started in the late 80’s within BP Oil, with applications development around gasoline and diesel blending, as well as FCC, CDU, Reformer and Ethylene plant feed and products characterization. Major oil companies such as Shell, BP, Repsol, Aramco… have also adopted Topnir`s solutions.
Since the beginning of 2005 Topnir has been an independent company, and they recently expanded their activities to Advanced Process Control (APC). Topnir Systems is proud to announce the signature in April 2008 of a Partnership Agreement with Aspen Technologies, Inc. (AspenTech) in the area of APC.

This partnership enables AspenTech to gather best-in-class technologies in two complementary fields – NIR and APC – combining forces to deliver solutions with increased added value to customers. The agreement enables Topnir to sell AspenOne for Advanced Process Control products, and to provide competitive APC services to AspenTech and their customers.
