Partnership with API: Petroleum Collection of Standards

ASTM International and the American Petroleum Institute have partnered to offer the energy industry access to relevant technical content and extended functionality on a single online platform, ASTM Compass.

The collaborative effort was born from requests made by member organizations from both ASTM and API calling for more functional use of data found in standards. While standards in their entirety are necessary for the technical industry, a need was identified to extract content from standards when creating derivative works at the organization level.

Through Compass, clients receive all of the content they need from ASTM and the API with tools and features to automate the process of managing change and disseminating information.
