Norbert Bargmann Takes over Munich Showcase

Since January 1, 2010, Norbert Bargmann has assumed responsibility for analytica, the International Trade Fair for Analysis, Laboratory Technology and Biotechnology. He succeeds Klaus Dittrich, who was appointed Chairman & CEO of Messe München the same day.

Norbert Bargmann, who has been a member of the Management Board at Messe München since October 2001, was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board effective January 1, 2010. As a result, the helm of the international trade show analytica is being taken over by a renowned exhibition professional with close contacts in the political and commercial sectors.

During the past few years, Bargmann has been responsible for the success and growth of several leading international trade fairs for capital goods at the Munich venue including BAU and DRINKTEC.

As Director of the Business Unit for "New Technologies", Bargmann assumes responsibility for analytica as well as other international exhibitions such as productronica, electronica and Laser World of Photonics. In his previous position, he was also in charge of automatica, the International Congress Centre Munich (ICM), the M,O,C and the Guest Events and International Site Evaluation Departments, which will remain under his purview.
