Analytical Technology & Control (ATAC) (UK) announce the re-launch of their Cloud Point analyser with a host of improvements.

Online Cloud Point detection in a range of motor fuels is already well established in most refineries, but the degree of difficulty in measuring ever changing products is easily under-estimated. Seasonal changes from Summer to Winter blends are one issue, but on a daily basis some refiners demand that their online analyser can detect Cloud Point in a range of fuels including domestic, marine and motor fuel products with varying levels of colorants and biodiesel additives– with as little user intervention as possible.

The newly designed Cloud Point from ATAC more than meets these demands, a unique measuring cell incorporating “Smart Sample Technology” and digital signal processing to allow the instrument to automatically tune performance to the sample being measured and thereby enhance cloud point detection. An LED light source prolongs lamp life to 30,000 hours plus and glass light guides prevent contamination or erosion by the sample.

The result is a Cloud Point analyser that can sample a wide range of domestic, motor and marine fuels including coloured and bio-diesel without any need for operator adjustment.

The new analyser features a plug and play measurement cell construction, to make maintenance a breeze. The whole measurement cell assembly can be changed in approximately 5 minutes to minimise service down time in the event of failure.

A Projected Capacitive touchscreen completes the package. This ultimately robust touchscreen terminal is virtually immune to damage from rough handling as the technology works through-the-glass, meaning that the external face is toughened glass. The touchscreen works with gloved fingers without loss of sensitivity.
