Somerset could become the next Brazil for biofuel consumption, according to reporters, who believe the county is well placed to grow its own fuel in the future.

Brazil’s energy problems in the 70s were defeated by making use of what the country had. They used a biofuel composition from their native oranges to produce fuel, thus initiating a wave of similar products that has ensued ever since, with the whole world now looking to make renewable fuel from crops, This is Somerset has reported.

In Britain, and in counties such as Somerset, biomass, biodiesel, biocrops and biofuels will no doubt become the future of energy, as the counties look to exploit what they have to fuel their economy locally.

Corn is one such product that can be exploited, with cast fields covering parts of the country. There is also plenty of space for crops such as coppice, willow and poplar, which grows in abundance in the region and can be used to make biofuels.
